Woodstock Musical Theatre Company presents the comedy Moon Over Buffalo by Ken Ludwig, January 31st – February 22nd at the historic Woodstock Opera House.
This backstage farce by the author of “Lend Me a Tenor” brought Carol Burnett back to Broadway and also starred Philip Bosco as her megalomaniac, often drunk husband and leading man. An acting couple on tour in Buffalo with a repertory consisting of “Cyrano de Bergerac” (revised one nostril version) and “Private Lives” have been given one more shot at starring roles in “The Scarlet Pimpernel” with epic director Frank Capra en route to catch their matinee performance. Will Charlotte go on or run off with their agent? Will George be sober enough to emote? Will Capra see “Cyrano”, “Private Lives” or a disturbing combination of the two?
Woodstock Musical Theatre Company is thrilled to be undertaking this incredible challenge under the polished direction of Regina M. Belt. Our comedic cast includes: Brian Sager of Woodstock as George Hay, Seleta Varga of Richmond as Charlotte Hay, Chris Kurzer of McHenry as Paul, Laurie Faith Gibson of Woodstock as Roz, Jim Gesselle as Howard, Ellie Frazier as Eileen, Kathie Comella of Woodstock as Ethel, and Jerry Hage of Crystal Lake as Richard.
Moon Over Buffalo’s Designer and Technical teams include; Set Designer Lou Czarny, Lighting Designer Bob Haddelton, Property Designer John Fleshman, Technical Coordinator / Stage Manager Greg “Norm” Boyd and Costume Coordinator Angelo Spicuzza.
Moon Over Buffalo performs January 31, February 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22, 2003 at 8:00pm and February 2, 9, and 16, 2002 at 6:00pm, at the historic Woodstock Opera. Tickets are on sale now.
