If the Shoe Fits, then
you might as well wear it, meet the guy of your dreams and escape your
dreadful stepfamily, all with a little help from your Fairy Godmother!
This April the Woodstock Musical Theatre Company
will present Rodgers and Hammerstiens Cinderella at the Woodstock Opera
House. This timeless
enchantment of a magical fairy tale is reborn under the direction of
Virginia Zymonas and the Choreography of David “Doc” Lindquist.
Julie Hermann and Stephan Panek are suitably cast as Cinderella
and her Prince Christopher, two young souls looking to free themselves
from the monotony of their daily lives, and finding true love in the
process. Special note, Kim
Kreisman will suitably play the part of Cinderella on Saturday matinee
performances. With an
updated script and distinct musical flair, including such songs as “In
my own little corner”, “Impossible”, and “Do I love you because
you’re Beautiful”, this classic fairy tale comes to life with help
from a large and very talented ensemble cast.
Where would Cinderella be with out her Stepmother (Kathie Comella),
and her spoiled Step Sisters (April Martinez and Christi Kley)?
Adding to the comical delight is the King (Bruce Weiss) and Queen
(Maragh Quinlin), and their witty palace staff: the Herald (Darrin
Pufall), the Steward (Kyle McCoy), and the Chef (Paul Lockwood).
When all things look dram and dreary, the vivacious Fairy
Godmother (Laurie Faith Gibson) provides some frivolous inspiration and
a little bit of magic for Cinderella’s big night.
A full bodied Ensemble cast of Singers and dancers, add zealous
life to the experience, they include: Dan Beestra, Brooke Burlingame,
Ginny Deurling, Summer Hallnstein, Jesse Hallock, Erika Kyle, Christi
Orzech, Kathy Orzech, Michael Orzech, Sheryl Strain, Jennifer Way and
Jamie Wood. Performance
dates are April 6 – 29, 2001. Show times on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Saturday
matinees at 2 pm, Sundays at 6 pm (No performance Easter Sunday). For more information contact the Opera House Box Office

My daughter was simply in awe with how this classic fairy tale was
portrayed on stage.
Thank you for doing such a wonderful job! |
I surprisingly
enjoyed the show very much, especially that wicked step family. |
