Season Banquet 2003

This year’s
Third Annual Season Banquet was a rousing
success!
The Banquet was held for WMTC Members May 17th,
2003 at the Turnberry Country Club in nearby Lakewood, IL.

The evening started with Cocktails and Gourmet Buffet
Style Dinner, Entertainment and Awards followed. Although with a few
technical snafu's involving the sudden non-function of our projector for the
"A Season to Remember" Slide Show (Downloadable Below), we went old
style and moved into the presentation of the comical Sager Awards with just
an Emcee (Rob Scharlow), his beautiful assistant (Laurie Faith Gibson) and a
Microphone.. Those winners included...

Congratulations to the following winners: Best
Technical - Seleta Varga as Prop. Coordinator of Jekyll and Hyde, Best Artistic
- Darrin Pufall and Ryan Moller as Costume Designers for Jekyll
and Hyde, Best Actor - Kevin Rathunde as Tevye in Fiddler On
The Roof, Best Actress - Angie Brandenburg as Fruma Sarah in
Fiddler On The Roof.

The heart award winners for the season were recognized
and awarded to: Seleta Varga for Jekyll and Hyde, Sandy Rutherford for A
Christmas Carol, Regina M. Belt for Moon Over Buffalo, and Adrian
Watts for Fiddler On The Roof. The Golden Heart Award, only given for
the 4th time in the history of WMTC, was awarded to Beth Davis Johnson
for all her continued hard work and contributions to WMTC these past 14
years as a Board Member and Treasurer.

The Encore Award was also presented to
Laurie Faith Gibson for her hard work and contribution to the success of
the 2002 - 2003 Season..

The Season Banquet is open to all
members of WMTC, much like our previous summer picnics. Active members
(current season participants) will soon receive a separate invitation in the
mail. All other members just need the information listed here.

Directions: From Woodstock, Take Rt. 14 Southeast to Crystal Lake.
Cross Rt. 176, turn right on Dole Ave. Follow Dole towards
Crystal Lake Main Beach and around lake to the right (this turns
into Lake Shore Drive). Go past Gates 3 – 22, Turn left on
Huntley Road. Turn right at Bard Road, Turn right onto Turnberry
Trail. The Club will be on right side.
