By Richard A. Yach
A Hilarious Comedy in Two
Acts
Produced by Marco-Woods and
Gemini Players
Directed by Tim Cornwell
Father Tim - (Bob
Reed) A struggling
priest-golfer who, despite
prayers to the Almighty,
will never excel. Bogies are
acceptable, a par would be
heavenly, a birdie--paradise
itself. Even tempered, often
willing to tell jokes on
himself and the game.
Mayor Mike - (Bob
Fosse) An earnest man, who
appears to always be in a
hurry to be somewhere else.
Enjoying the game is elusive
since he is a woeful golfer.
Anxious about most things
and especially uptight and
insecure about his golf
game. Addicted to the game
and every possible trick or
gimmick. Often the butt of
many jokes.
Doctor Dick - (Joe
Weland) An above average
golfer and dentist who
enjoys the good life.
Cynical about marriage, he
is currently single. Dr.
Dick's been divorced a
couple of times--perhaps due
to his interest in strong
drink and beautiful women.
The remaining golfers are
envious of his swinging,
philandering ways.
Kenny - (Tony Aiello)
Strives to achieve at
everything. Hates his
insurance job, bus has stuck
with it hoping for the
promised pension and
investments that will
relieve him of worry. He is
waiting for the life of
leisure and stress-free
retirement. Married to a
woman who views herself as a
"golf-widow" to Kenny who
treasures his time on the
course and work more than
her and the family. He is
full of quick quips,
humorous golf stories and
the "golf needle."
