Greetings and
Welcome!
In order to
make this a fun experience for everyone, please read these simple,
common sense guidelines. Your cooperation and teamwork will make this
production a success!
Please see the
production coordinator or stage manager if you have any questions.
About
Rehearsals
Ø
Be On Time
(or early if possible).
Ø
Call someone on the staff if you will be late or absent.
Ø
Be considerate of your fellow actors and the production staff.
Ø
Dress in appropriate clothes and shoes for the type of rehearsal.
Ø
Be Prepared
for the material that will be covered at that rehearsal.
Ø
Excessive absences or tardiness for rehearsals can get
you booted from the cast and/or not cast again.
Ø
Any use of drugs of alcohol during rehearsal or
production will result in immediate expulsion from the cast.
About
Performances
Ø
Be a the theater on time (1 to 1 ½ hours prior to each performance)
Ø
Call if you are (for whatever reason) going to be late. Opera House
Office: 815-338-4212
Ø
Get plenty of rest and eat a balanced meal during the day of
performance.
Ø
Any use of drugs or alcohol during rehearsal or
production will result in immediate expulsion from the cast.
Ø
Shower and use deodorant (no perfume or cologne, some folks are very
allergic to it).
Ø
Sign in when you arrive (sign-up sheet will be posted on the bulletin
board outside of the dressing rooms).
Ø
DO NOT LEAVE THE THEATER ONCE YOU HAVE SIGNED IN!
(If
there is a problem, notify the Stage Manager and he/she will assign a
crewmember to get what you need).
Ø
Before going on-stage, unplug all electrical appliances (irons, curling
irons, hair dryers, etc.)
Ø
NO
gum, cough drops, candy, etc. backstage or on-stage. Leave it in the
dressing rooms.
Ø
NO
food or drink backstage or on-stage. NO eating or drinking
“messy stuff” in your costumes; you’ll look pretty silly going on in
stained clothes with no time to wash them out.
Ø
Please show the utmost respect to the Woodstock Opera
House building and staff. The City of Woodstock proudly maintains this
historic landmark and we want to do all we can to preserve it for
another 100 years.
Ø
Check ALL costumes and hand props as soon as you arrive for a
performance. If something is missing or damaged, notify the Stage
Manager IMMEDIATELY so he/she can have time to get it replaced or
repaired.
Ø
VISITORS
(this includes
family)
ARE NOT ALLOWED EITHER BACKSTAGE OR ON-STAGE, BEFORE OR DURING ANY
PERFORMANCE.
Visitors are
allowed in the green room area (not the hallway) AFTER a
performance or may meet you in the Stage Left Café.
Ø
Remember to remove all costumes and makeup before leaving the dressing
room area to mingle with the audience.
Ø
HANG UP ALL COSTUMES
after a performance.
Ø
RETURN ALL PROPS
to prop table or to a crewmember after you finish using them. Do not
move or pick up anyone else’s props!
